This beautiful block from Heather was waiting for me when I got home tonight.
I asked for bright, springy colours, and this meets that criteria perfectly. The purple and yellow make me think of daffodils and irises, both of which will be a while coming to our area. The snow hasn't even all melted yet.
And here is the block I sent to Heather. She wanted a Log Cabin in blues and whites, with a yellow centre.
Log Cabin has never been my favourite block, but I knew that I couldn't get through this swap without having to make at least one. In the end, I didn't mind making it, and for a few moments thought maybe I should break down and make myself a Log Cabin quilt. Well, not today, but maybe some day soon.
