Blocks from Margaret

I got my swap block today for February(I think Margaret already mentioned that we agreed to be a few days late : ) and I received two beautiful blocks. The pattern is Bachelor's Puzzle(my request in bright, Kaffe Fassett style fabrics). She did a fabulous job...thank you, Margaret. The extra goodies are also appreciated!

A Peek For Caroline

Here is just a little look at my block for Caroline. Blue and white as she requested. It will go out in tomorrow's mail.

Block for Cathy......

in Golden Grove, South Australia. Cathy asked for log cabin or pinwheels in autumn tones. I made a pinwheel one for Jodi last month so decided to play safe and do log cabin, you can't stuff that up can you! I took these photos with my phone, on the grass in the backyard at 6.30pm, so Cathy look for it early next week I will post it off tomorrow morning.

Sneek peek for Linda

Here is a little peek at my March block. Linda wanted a blue, red and white colour scheme but left me free to choose the block.

I have decided to try a little paper piecing, I have really struggled with this technique in the past. Recently I purchased Alex Andersons book on Paper piecing, it is a very clear book with lots of pictures, which I like. I enjoyed the process and am happy with the final product but I won't give you anymore details until the block is safely with Linda. Happy quilting Caroline
