I received my nice block from Jodi while on the road in Port Townsend, WA. We had our neighbor mail our first class mail to us and there in the middle of the pile was a package from Jodi! I would take a picture but forgot the transfer cord for my camera. So thank you Jodi.

I just received a beautiful batik block from Robin. She must have spent a long time piecing this one. I'm ever so pleased...thank you Robin

Robin wanted aqua, white and red. It must be the year for this as I had no trouble finding these colors at all. But the really fun part is the name of the block "the Eyes of March".

This is the first time I've done paper piecing and while I enjoyed making the block and learning the technique, I think it wastes a lot of fabric. Of course that might be my total inability to cut a triangle correctly first time out...lol

From Melissa to Susan

Here are the beautiful blocks I received from Melissa yesterday, not one but TWO! She said that she cut the triangular one on her GO machine and wasn't happy with the size when she finished it. I'm very happy with both, size can be fixed.

The second picture shows just how well the batik block will go with the one that Staci sent to me for January.

I'm one happy camper this morning.

A Block for Susan in WA

Hi, I'm Staci, aka The Confused Quilter. Here's a peek at the block I made for Susan in WA.  Susan likes batiks, and blues, greens and earth tones, and both modern and traditional blocks.  She left the block choice up to me, which I found rather daunting, trying to choose a block out of all the world and make it for a stranger!  Keeping my fingers crossed that she likes this block!
