August's Block for Sandra

This is going out in today's mail but I wanted to give Sandra R a picture to see since I figured it would take a little extra time with going to Canada.  She asked for a Maple Leaf which I was able to use up some of my "maple leaf" fabric from my stash!  I liked this one so much I may end up doing a whole quilt of it

and i added a couple of complimentary colors...

I had just purchased a template from Karen Combs for the cube and wanted to try it out, so I made a second block. Glad you like it, Cathy :)

Blocks swapped between Lynn and Teresa

I received this lovely block from Lynn yesterday

She asked me to upload a pic of the block I sent her, she mentioned that she liked the Inverted Star I made for Sunny so I made one for Lynn but changed the colours to suit Lynn's tastes. 

The original pattern for this Inverted Star is available as a free download from Craftsy.  and all credit should be given to the designer, I just followed the instructions.

July - in August.  I'm sorry- summer is so crazy around here.  A bit of block, being send with almost enough 1 1/2" squares to make a second one.  I would love it if we could see the finished project!
