I havent posted for a while but have still been sending and receiving blocks, so in case my partners had not got around to posting what they sent or received, here's the last few months blocks!

Sneak Peek of Completed Block for Jennifer in NJ

This is a sneak o0231+555554523222222222222222222(that was from my 19mnth old niece!)... Anyway, here is part of the completed block that I posted this morning to Jennifer in NJ. Our post office is open on Saturday morning, but the block will only be winging it's way across the world sometime after Monday.

Fabric Choice Sneak Peak for Jennifer D in NJ

Jennifer mentioned autumnal colours and not liking solids, so this is a sneak peak of the fabrics I have chosen for her block. (Edited to add: The dark fabric is actually a really dark chocolate brown even though it looks black in here, the yellow is like a mustard-gold)

Block for Jennifer D in NJ :)

Yey!  I got her block done today!  My sewing room is still in boxes but I was able to find my sewing machine and made myself sit down and finish her block.  Here is a sneak peak:

It's not the best picture since I took it with my cell phone and artificial light.  That green does not have as much yellow in it as the picture shows and that purple batik reads more as a blue...but oh well.  I hope she likes it!  :P

February block completed

It was Friday Night Sew In yesterday.  It is so good to have a designated day to stop everything else and sew.

First Block for Melissa made ;-)

The Cricket was on the TV, and I was able to spend some time in my sewing room ;-)

I made up the block for my January partner - Melissa who asked for a Centennial Tree Block with scrappy leaves - I was a bit overwhelmed when I first saw the instructions - it was rated with 3 PINS difficulty level !!!  ;-)

here is a snippet

It was a very challenging block to make - lots of cutting and squaring up - but I am really pleased with how it eventually turned out.  I hope Melissa likes it.  I am intending to get it in the mail today or tomorrow.

Bringing In The New Year

As the year comes to a close I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year!
