Note from a Newbie!

Greetings from a wet and cold Galway, in the west of Ireland. I am cheering myself up today by going through my stash looking for lovely teals/ greens for a block for Charlene, my swap partner this month. My First Trade Has Arrived!!

As a newbie to the group...I must say ..WOW!!!! I love my new block from Shannon. She did a wonderful job!! I also love that she sent me a post card from her state. That was a nice treat. Thank you Shannon, you did an AWESOME job!!

My First Finish for 2012 ........ Yay!!!!!

I finally got around to piecing together some of the blocks I have received in 2010 and 2011.

Ready to snuggle under when it gets a bit colder ;-)

I love the fact that all these different blocks have come from different parts of the world and look so great together.  I am really looking forward to snuggling under this one this coming winter ;-)

Jan and Dec blocks

Here are the 2 blocks I made for my Dec and Jan partners. The top photo is for Kathy S. {Jan} she only requested orange and yellow be somewhere in her block. I decided on a pinwheel with lots of both colors. The bottom photo was for Jorie {Dec} she asked for something wonky with
red, oranges, yellows. So, I made here a wonky star. Hopefully, both ladies like their blocks!

January Block Completed.

Here's a hint....Sunny's block was completed and mailed on Monday.  She may have to remove a few buttons for quilting but I think they add a special touch.

I finally finished Linda B.'s block.  Yeah.  Hope you like it. This is actually a sneak peak from my first try that I was not satisfied with.  Block two turned out much better. It went in the mail Friday.

I received my January block from Mary.  I love the colors and it is a very interesting block.
