Block(s) for Linda
I just couldn't make up my mind which red, white and blue combination I liked best. So I decided to cop out and let Linda decide. This block required more math education since all I had was a picture and EQ7 wasn't giving me what I needed. It was fun! I am learning new techniques each and every time.
April Block from Heather
This beautiful block from Heather was waiting for me when I got home tonight. I asked for bright, springy colours, and this meets that criteria perfectly. The purple and yellow make me think of daffodils and irises, both of which will be a while coming to our area. The snow hasn't even all melted yet.
And here is the block I sent to Heather. She wanted a Log Cabin in blues and whites, with a yellow centre. Log Cabin has never been my favourite block, but I knew that I couldn't get through this swap without having to make at least one. In the end, I didn't mind making it, and for a few moments thought maybe I should break down and make myself a Log Cabin quilt. Well, not today, but maybe some day soon.

Block from Kathy to Natlie
Here's a pic of the block that Natalie received from me. She couldn't post a pic on her computer, so here it is:
From Sue to Staci
Here is the lovely log cabin block Sue made for me! Isn't it pretty?
I especially love all the red fabrics she used, and it was so nicely constructed.
I really love my block, thank you so much, Sue!

Sneak peak for Jodi in Colorado
Well, Jodi, your Pinwheel block will be on its way from Tulsa, OK, to your home in Colorado tomorrow. I have never waited this long to make a block but life interfered with my best of intentions. After completing the block, I brought it downstairs for my husband to see. He said that it was not up to my standards, so I had to make another one; of course, he was right!! So you get 2 blocks instead of 1--and they are both the same fabric--but the second is a pinch better.
Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks again for your patience.

From Munaiba to Shannon
I am sorry that I forgot to post my March block. Munaiba sent me two blocks. How nice. I love both of them. This first one is hand stitched. Oh how cool. I am not sure I would do that for a stranger.
Thank you for your hard work!
This second one is so beautiful in person.

Helpful Info
I just had a talk with my Post Master here in the town I live. I have been sending my flowers in yellow envelopes. She asked me to try and remember to take off the metal tabs off the back. They get stuck in the machines and they have to process them by hand. If you don't take them off then you need to cover them with a sticker or tape. I am not sure if this is true for all post offices but I thought
I would pass on some helpful info. I hope every body is having a good day.

Sneak peak for Colleen
And here is the block that I was still working on when Colleen was thanking me
Colleen is getting a bonus this month, because I didn't like the first block I made, so I made a second one, and I'm send both to her. They're going to the post office on Monday!

March blocks received
I had too many swaps going on in March.
I did double duty in March for this swap too.
So when I received this block near the begining of April,
I thought wow my April partner is on the ball after a series of emails, she has nailed it! Great, awesome block! Oops! She emailed me back after I thanked her and said she was still working on my block! LOL! Actually this beautiful block was made by the wonderful Brenda who joined our group last month! Thanks Brenda!
And here are all four together.
Laughing in very windy NC,
Colleen

Sneak Peak for Robyn in Australia!
This is for Robyn. I believe she is on a cruise in New Zealand now or soon!!! I hope she is having fun. Here's a peak at her block. It was a challenge for me to make as I have never tried this block before and I discovered I'm not that good at it! I am not sure I will ever make another one of these, but the skills are always good to have!!! Thanks for being a good partner and keeping in touch Robyn. Can't wait for you to get this!!!
Block from Leanne to Staci
Do you ever think about doing something for so long you think you actually did it?
That's exactly what I did! I could have sworn I posted this photo a couple weeks ago--and just realized I never did! Leanne--I am so sorry! I love my house block, in fact, I'm ready to just move right in! Thank you so much!

Sneak Peak For Tamera of Kintyre, ND
I have left this block a little late this month as there has just been so much happening this month.
Tamera wanted a friendship star variation in autumn colours. I hope this block fits the bill. I have blogged the full block on my blog if you are interested in seeing the whole block.
It will be posted in the next day or two.
I hope you like it Tamera.
Happy blocking everyone.

From Shannon to Caroline
Caroline asked for any star block. She also said that she liked blue and white. I hope that this will be something that she will like. I had a fun time making it. I love the look of this block. I will be dropping it in the mail tonight. Hopefully it will not take to long to get to you.
COMMUNICATION
It has come to my attention that some of our members are not communicating with their monthly swap partners. This is a vital part of our group to keep us together. If you no longer wish to be in the Block Swap Adventure, all you need to do is drop me a line and I will remove you. Or if you would like to be put on a "vacation hold", I can do that too. Please don't just disappear. This is not fair to those who are busily making a block for you. We have lost a couple of members recently to either being overly committed or to other concerns. That is okay - life happens. But, please, let's remember to communicate with one another. We want to keep this a fun group.
Hugs,
Linda G.
Peek for Tiffany
Here's a peek of the block I made for Tiffany. She said she wanted wonky and pink. I hope this one fits the bill. It's on it's way!
Preview for Jody S. in FL
Here's a preview for Jody S. in FL. She didn't state a block preference and only a few color preferences so I hope she likes this block! It was really fun to make. :)
It's pretty scrappy - and I hope she doesn't mind that it came out kind of girly. It is bright though! This might not go out until this weekend seeing as how I don't get off work before the post office closes, but it will go out this week!
