Postal time frames. . .

Anyone know how long the average postal delivery time is between the U.S. and Australia? I know that's a long haul, especially from the U.S. East Coast, but Sylvia just wrote to say hers haven't arrived yet. I posted them on the 17th via first class mail in a padded envelope - sure seems like that's enough time!

Hi Lynn,
I had a similar problem.
I posted my block to my partner in Australia - but from Brazil and it took 33 days to arrive there.
Sure it is not from the USA but still from the same continent...
Thankfully my partner finally received her block.
Hope your partner will get hers.
warm wishes
Gina

Most places take 7 to 14 days by airmail but first class mail may be longer than that. You can always check with your post office to get an idea of how long the delivery could take.

I have found that around two weeks is average. I had one take two months - lol!

Thanks, Ladies - I guess it's not time to worry, then. :) I just want Sylvia to have her blocks!

My parcels used to arrive to the States within 4 - 7 days - airmail. These days since the Brisbane floods it has been taking up to 2 weeks or more.

I have a few friends in Australia and ten days would be real quick. Two weeks is not out of the ordinary.
