Thank You Pamela
I just want to take a moment and say thank you so much to Pamela. Your package could not have come at a better time. You see, we just had another flood. So, I thought I had lost everything with the first flood, but this last flood on Wednesday took the rest of everything. We are all OK. When your package arrived, my son gave it to me, knowing what fabric means to me, he said "mom, don't cry, it's from one of your quilting friends". Well....that being said, I started to cry before I even opened the box. He gently took the letter off the box and read it. It was all over after that. I never imagined getting a whole box of fabric and thread. And a lot too! How awsome is that, a day after another flood, to get a box of fabric? Enough.....thanks so very much. If ever I can do something for you, please don't hesitate.

Lori knocked it out of the park!

The Trimmings
Were worth the wait! Ha!
Look how pretty my lovely September
"Pin-wheels" block is.
It's got a country, vintage appeal :)
Just what I love...
It was so funny this month Miss Linda really did such
a good job at partners as I had to do a block that is
so much my older daughter (my opposites)
& used her opinions on colors etc...
Making something that "was not"
country nor vintage!
On the other hand Elizabeth had to do her opposite as well!
Ah such is life...it was fun & I am pleased! :)
Thank you Elizabeth for the lovely & so neatly made block...
and the pretty fabrics that as well were tucked in my envelope!
Blessings to you~

Block for Lori
My sneek peek for Lori is this:
The pinwheel/4-patch quilt block will go to the post office tomorrow. These were the leftovers from trimming the block : )
August & September Peeks
As usual I'm running behind. I finally made my August block for Debra in Australia. Wonky blocks aren't my strong suit so I kept putting it off. I'm so sorry it's late but here is a peek
Hope you like it Debra
Now for September. My block partner for September is Jodi. I received her block last week and I really like it - it will go great with all the others. Here is the picture
and here is a peek of the one I did for herPam in PA Sept sneak peak
Oh, my, Pam. This was a doozy. Did I cut the squares the correct inches? Why did I keep making mistakes? My Okla Sooners and OSU Cowboys both on TV? That could not possibly be the problem! Anyway, it is finished. Made with hand dyed fabric (my own hand dyed). If you get it in the light, the colors look very different; in the dark, they blend too much. But oh well, I accomplished something yesterday!! Please enjoy! Becky in Tulsa OK
Elizabeth R...
Thank you for a real challenge!
Yes...
The envelope is on it's way to Oklahoma :)
I am so hoping that this block will work for you...
longer story here-just don't want to show & tell all
& why I was seeing...um double! Ha!
Blessings~
As my children would say...
"mail man mail man run like a fox & put this in Miss Elizabeth's mail box"!

Peek for Debra A
I know that for most people that wonky is easy, but this block has been a challenge for me. Nothing came out as measured and I had the hardest time getting the block to measure 12 1/2". I was ready to put a frame around it but stopped myself. So, Debra A., here is a little hint of summer coming your way.

Reminder
Your swap blocks are due to be mailed no later than Sunday, September 25. I will be emailing out October swap partners on Sunday as well. If you do not get an email from me, please check your spam box. If it's still not there, please contact me on Monday. Unfortunately, there are a couple of members that will be dropped this month for lack of communication.
Hugs,

Block Received from Sunny
September was my first month to join the BSA group, and I am THRILLED with the block that Sunny sent me:
My photo doesn't even begin to show you how pretty this block is! The colors are actually brighter than my lousy photography ability allows me to show. Thank you so much Sunny! It is perfect.
I have always drooled over this quilt:
Aunt Grace's Garden Party... It is offered as a BOM in a lot of places, but I don't think I could ever create anything so pretty. I am hoping to pick up the colors in our monthly swaps to create something similar. Sunny's block is a PERFECT start! Thank you, Sunny!

September blocks sent and received
My swap partner for September was Mary from Toronto. We've had a lovely time chatting by e-mail and we've both received our blocks from each other already.
First up here is what Mary made for me. I love how the fabric makes this block dance and sparkle.
Frankly I think it is lovely too. I just love movement in blocks - the combination of the pinwheel shape and that lovely yellow fabric makes this pinwheel blow in the wind!
Here is the block I sent Mary. She asked for any block in teal. I had to look on the internet to find out what colour teal is. I think I got it right. Mary said she loves the block.
